This workshop explores the practical and creative dimensions of inclusion in event planning, with a focus on real-world application for organizers working across diverse cultural contexts. Taking place during two partner festivals in France and Germany, it offers a unique cross-border setting that encourages exchange, reflection, and collaboration.

Participants will engage with key questions around accessibility, representation, and participation: Who is included in our events, and who is unintentionally left out? What barriers—physical, social, or cultural—exist, and how can they be removed? Through a mix of interactive sessions, case studies, and group discussions, the workshop highlights strategies for creating welcoming environments that reflect and respect diversity.

Special attention is given to inclusive communication, accessible design, and community engagement. Participants will also explore how inclusion can be embedded into every stage of event production, from concept development to audience outreach and on-site experience.

By connecting organizers from different regions, the workshop fosters a shared learning space where experiences, challenges, and ideas can be openly exchanged. The goal is not only to raise awareness, but to empower participants with concrete tools and inspiration to make their future events more inclusive, equitable, and impactful.
