#SOUNDCITYFREIBURG is the annual festival for subculture, club culture and pop culture – for, with and from Freiburg. The 15 to 20 programme events, taking place across various venues over a single weekend, combine high and low culture, disco and discourse, pop and politics. The interdisciplinary festival represents, strengthens and promotes the rich diversity of Freiburg’s subculture, club and pop culture.
The CHANCE Festival is a Franco-German pop and democracy festival held in Düsseldorf’s Hofgarten. In 2026, the JuggleManiac Festival will celebrate its eighth edition with a unique two-day cross-border music festival in the Cleebourg/Wissembourg border region, nestled amongst vineyards and fields. Every autumn, the Sunnyside Festival in Reims establishes itself as the unmissable event dedicated to jazz and African-American music. Since its inception, the festival has focused on two key objectives: upholding core values and providing enjoyment for audiences of all kinds. Each year’s festival invites visitors to explore the rich musical diversity of jazz, soul, funk, blues, hip-hop and improvised music, in a warm and friendly atmosphere.
The Grabuge association brings together stakeholders across the sector around shared values, within a framework of public interest. We inform stakeholders, encourage collaboration, and represent our members. Our work contributes to structuring the popular music sector in the Grand Est region.
pop rlp is the umbrella brand for the promotion of popular music culture in Rhineland-Palatinate. Our focus is on supporting young musicians, connecting all stakeholders in the industry, and providing needs-based training and further education. Our aim is to promote popular music in all its stylistic diversity.
Since 1999, Lokale Agenda has been active in Trier and the surrounding region as a charity, running a wide range of projects, providing high-quality educational initiatives and maintaining an extensive network. It acts as a link between citizens and the city council, an educational organisation and a thought leader – whether on Fairtrade, cycling or specialist discourse. ‘We stand for a Trier with a future.’
The nationwide Culture4Climate programme works with the cultural sector to help achieve global climate and sustainability goals. In the face of climate change, the cultural sector has a dual role: to reduce climate-damaging emissions across all cultural sectors and to promote a cultural shift towards a culture of sustainability through cultural practice.
